i made a huge mistake by machine washing a doll my Nana made for me decades ago. the doll was perfect for Pasquale - all cloth with a sweet round head and big hand-painted eyes. it looked a lot like him and he was enthralled by it - particularly the eyes. alas, the thin material ripped during the washing and when i removed it from the machine i found the stuffing exploded out of head! so disappointing! i am going to ask the talented alison to fix it up for us. while searching online for photos of any similar dolls (i could not find any), i noticed a striking similarity between Kewpie dolls and Pasquale in the shape of his head, eyes, cheeks and chin.....
